TLDR: Due to several factors (more below) and to give you the very best book possible, we're moving EIDOLON back to December 12, 2023.
Hi everyone,
I hope you're doing well as we head into the holiday season! I'm stunned that 2022 is coming to a close already, and I want you to know that I haven't forgotten about EIDOLON. In fact, I'm working hard to make it the best book it can be.
As much as I don't want to move it back again, I've realized that I've spent a lot of time away from the CIRCUIT FAE world, and to deliver a finale that really pays tribute to Syl and Rouen and all they've been through, I need to go back and re-read the series. I want to tie up loose ends and give my readers the satisfying conclusion you all deserve.
Here's what I do know: EIDOLON focuses on Syl and Rouen after high school, settling into their positions as Faerie Queenes of Summer and Winter and dealing with a brand-new threat, all the while trying to find their own apartment in a city where everyone seems to be turning into Faerie creatures.
There's going to be new characters, old favorites, epic battles, magic galore, angsty romance, and our disaster lesbians Syl and Rouen right in the middle of it all.
Right now, I'm in the brainstorming, outlining phase (what I call the "treatment phase") of EIDOLON. Currently, I'm working on a project for my agent--something I hope you all will love. All I can say is, it's a dystopian science fantasy/dark academia. It's very high concept, and it's taken me a lot of time and energy as well as research, synthesis, and reflection.
It's very tough to write, very slow going, but the end product feels satisfying and truthful. The second--and I mean, the second--I send it off to my agent, I'm focusing on all things CIRCUIT FAE.
Thank you so much for your patience,
GIE
P.S. If there's something you'd like to see me cover in the finale, drop me a note!
P.P.S. I have not forgotten that Syl's mom broke a certain promise to a certain dark Faerie...
